Jump Force will come to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2018. The footage also revealed characters like Roronoa Zoro from One Piece and Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto.
Gameplay footage captured by Kotaku revealed that the battles will happen in real life locations and this could be the reason behind the game’s look. In Jump Force, the characters are rendered in 3D to almost make them look like they’re in the real world. What’s different though is that in J Stars, the fights take place in locations from the anime and the graphics are shell-shaded to make the characters look much closer to how the anime look. They have previously released a similar fighting game series called J Stars. This isn’t exactly a new concept from Bandai Namco. Unlike the characters featured early on in the trailer, Death Note‘s story is not rooted in hand-to-hand combat. There are no details yet on what part they will play in a fighting game. Curiously, Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note make an appearance at the end of the trailer.
